David W. Ambler has worked in the surveying and mapping profession in the private sector most of his career on both large and small land development projects, which has included drafting, preparation, processing and management of countless maps and surveys. He has performed calculations for a variety of mapping and surveying projects, including boundary retracements, writing legal descriptions, ALTA Surveys and preparing condominium plans. He has also been an instructor from 2007 through 2010 for the legal description portion of the San Diego Chapter Land Surveyor Review Course.
Mr. Ambler currently holds licenses in California and Arizona. He has been actively involved in surveying with the California Land Surveyors Association, serving on both the local and state levels. Currently he serves as a chapter representative for the San Diego Chapter.
His involvement with the California Land Surveyors Association (CLSA) has brought him to LSACTS. He views LSACTS as an efficient vehicle to support and promote the land surveying profession.
